Experience continuous Germanic and contemporary entertainment in our hall decked out in glorious Germanic colors, flags and decorations. A true German festival would not be complete without singing, arms locked with your friends swaying to and fro. Singing is an important part of Germanic culture. So to make your experience truly authentic and enjoyable, grab available copies of popular German festival and folksong lyrics to sing along in fun-loving, traditional German style. Throw on some hats, head garlands and beer fest beads to add to the fun. Don’t miss the official beer tapping ceremonies on Friday and Saturday to sample German beer while it lasts! (SEE SCHEDULE)

Bier Garten
Enjoy wonderful German beers and comfort foods with outdoor or indoor seating in a Germanic atmosphere. Featured foods: German wursts (sausages), sauerkraut, potato salad or potato pancakes, chicken, pork, pierogies, baked goods, Bavarian pretzels, roasted nuts among much more!

Euro-Café
Stop in the Euro Café for tastes of Europe – light food fare prepared and demonstrated by regional chefs. Specialty desserts and ice creams, liquors, wines and beers from around the world

Kaffee und Kuchen Kitchen
Sample the German tradition of enjoying an afternoon break for cake and coffee. German coffee and an assortment of Germanic baked goods.

MarktPlatz
Shop for a variety of gifts, crafts, folk art, retail items, among other goods.

Germanic Classroom (Deutschen Klasse)
Visit displays created by high school students to educate about the Germanic culture. These students of German language and history were inspired to expand their classroom studies for this effort.  (SEE PARTICIPANTS)

Other Activities
Debuting this year, Sommerfest Wiener National Race Event -- Wiener dog (dachshund) racing at its best! Over four days: races, costume contests, parades, award ceremonies, photo opps for children with the wiener mobile, special goodies. Also Agility Dog demonstrations where you can root for your favorites and win prizes with special coloring books available. Photo opps with Sommerfest Germanic royalty and cut-out characters, Balloons the Clown, fun inflatables for all, face painting, games and crafts including make-your-own Germanic medallion on a bead necklace.
