What's At Sommerfest in the Valley

Festhalle
Experience continuous Germanic and contemporary entertainment in our hall decked out in glorious Germanic colors, flags and decorations. A true German festival would not be complete without singing, arms locked with your friends swaying to and fro. Singing is an important part of Germanic culture. So to make your experience truly authentic and enjoyable, we produced a book of popular German festival and folksong lyrics, “Singen zum Sommerfest,” available for festival attendees to sing along in the fun-loving, traditional German style. Don’t miss the official beer tapping ceremony on opening night! (SEE SCHEDULE)

Bier Garten
Enjoy wonderful German beers, wines, and, of course, wonderful German comfort foods with outdoor or indoor seating in a Germanic atmosphere.

MarktPlatz
Shop for Germanic gifts, crafts, folk art, retail items, and clothing, among other goods.

Germanic Classroom (Deutschen Klasse)
Visit displays created by high school students to educate about the Germanic culture. These students of German language and history were inspired to expand their classroom studies for this effort. You’ll see technology in the classroom at work: student projects, conversations and activities. Wacker Polymers runs a feature program providing an exciting look at its chemical, semiconductor German-based industry.
