News Conference Tuesday, November 13, 2007 Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski and Lehigh Saengerbund, the valley’s German-American society, announce an exciting new event to be launched in the summer of 2008.
Lehigh Saengerbund began as a traditional, family-oriented singing society formed in 1858 in Allentown. While maintaining its musical roots, the organization has since developed a focus on cultivating and strengthening German-American culture and traditions. This most recent endeavor will combine all of that – the music, culture, and traditions – in a way that promises to entertain everyone, whether German or otherwise.
Held at noon on the 10th floor of the Hamilton Financial Center, 640 Hamilton Street in Allentown. (the 10-story former Wachovia Building at the corner of 7th & Hamilton Streets).
